Electronically file your 2007 Income Tax return and receive the Economic Stimulus Payment. VITA is assisting individuals BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. The schedule for appointments are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 10am to 4pm
Newark Now's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) identifies the tax deductions and credits available to get you the full refund you deserve.
Refunds that can help pay bills and student loans, and help with mortgage and car payments. It's easy and personalized. IRS certified volunteers provide private, confidential, one-on-one tax return preparation.
Who Can Come?
VITA services are available to any New Jersey resident making less than $40,000 a year.
What Do I Bring?
For the tax payer, spouse, children and any another dependent that you are claiming:
* Personal IDs - Social Security Cards (or ITINs) and dates of birth
* Amount of '07 payments for student loan interest, child care expenses, and college tuition
* All W-2 and 1099 statements
* Copy of 2006 Income Tax Return, if possible
* Any other tax related documents that you have received
* Proof of bank account for direct deposit.
Where Do I Go?
