In an effort to ensure that the holiday spirit is widely shared throughout the City of Newark, and to leverage the holidays as an opportunity to build social capital among residents and community organizations across Newark, Newark Now created the Brighter Holiday Campaign. Since 2003, through the Brighter Holiday Campaign, Newark Now has provided challenged Newark families with social services, toys, clothing, and food each holiday season.
